About the Design | ☽ The Phoenix ☾
The phoenix is a magical bird, also known as the firebird. The magical powers of a phoenix are quite diverse, but the most remarkable one is that the phoenix does not die. Instead, it bursts into flames when it is near death and is reborn from its own ashes. Because of this unique power, the phoenix symbolizes resurrection, transformation, and renewal.
Other magical powers of the phoenix include the ability to see through dark forces (and weaken them), revealing the truth, and healing deep wounds.
As a spirit guide, the phoenix may appear when it is time to close a chapter and begin a new one—letting go of an old life, old patterns, or destructive behavior and embracing the new. You can also connect with the phoenix if you are experiencing significant changes in your life and need some guidance.
The illustration was first sketched on paper and then developed digitally. Analog materials and textures (such as paint textures and handmade marbled paper) were used in the process.
